I started painting at the age of 12. At the time my grandfather was ill and I spent a lot of time at my grandfathers. My grandmother who had passed when I was young was a painter and my grandpa’s house was full of her paintings. This is what originally inspired my own work. I would try to copy her paintings and make designs of my own. I first started with watercolor, then moved to acrylic and finally oil painting. I inherited my grandmother’s easel after my grandpa’s passing and still use it to this day. I laid down my brushes to pursue a medical career and went many years without painting. After years I dusted off my supplies and started painting and making jewelry.
In order to integrate my love for art and desire to share the love of Christ, I created Jules Artsy Boutique in 2016 to sell my art to fund missions. I have been painting since 1999 and creating jewelry since 2012. Please take a peak at my handmade jewelry and paintings. Each work is unique, made with love and I hope that it will bring you joy.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
Throughout my walk with God he has used art as a form of healing, peace and teaching. God is the ultimate painter, ultimate creator and he makes each of us with tender love and care. May he use art to touch your heart and soul in a unique way to bring you, his creation, closer to him through Jesus. Amen
