“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, a whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you” James 1:2-5 NIV
Have you ever felt like you lost everything. You loss a job, car, home, personal belongings, friends, etc. You stop and look around and realize you have fallen in a deep dark pit and you don’t even know where to begin to get out. So in a panicked mess you start trying to climb out of the pit only to find that it is useless. Do cannot climb out. Then people come by and looking at you in your mess. They mock you. They say what did you do wrong to get yourself in this mess? They show no mercy. Unfortunately falling into holes happens. It can happen to anyone. But before we go into a panicked mess of trying to climb out of the hole we should turn to the Lord.
The Lord is the ultimate source of wisdom. His direction is perfect and without fault. The problem we face is understanding Gods direction and guidance. All human wisdom and understanding is nothing in comparison to our Lord who knows all, sees all and understands all. So when you find yourself in a deep hole, before you kill yourself trying to climb out or spiral into a panic, sit in prayer to your Lord and God. Ask for his wisdom. Stop to praise him in the midst of the dark pit. For his way will never fail you.
