Story Behind the Candles

Candle Available for Purchase Here!

All my candles are hand painted using epoxy resin and a variety of alcohol inks, mica pigments, paint, glitter and more. I often use refurbished glass jars and vases. After the jar has been hand painted I pour in a custom candle. All my candles are scented with Cherry Blossom and Lavender. I love the combination of this scent. It is floral and calming. A lite candle produce a steady flame and a fragrant aroma.

The Bible is full of references about light and darkness. Jesus himself referred to himself as the light of the world.

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life .” John 8:12

People often look to us for help, hope and healing. I am often reminded that I am not Jesus. I am not the light. Jesus is the light of the world. But as a follower of Jesus I attempt to walk with him so that I get to walk in his light. All I can do is point people in the same direction. Follow after Jesus, for he is the light of the world. He will light your steps. If anything I am just the fragrance meant to draw people in so that they can see the light of Jesus

We often put people in this world on a pedestal but no person other than Jesus is worthy of that honor. For any person on a pedestal is a sinner just like all the rest of us. Jesus is the only human ever in existence or ever to be in existence that is worthy to be our lamp on a stand. So next time you light a candle. Be reminded that we as Christians can be the fragrant aroma drawing people’s attention to the true source of all light in this world Jesus Christ.
