We are all on a path. We are all on a journey. We are all working toward something. Some of those paths by worldly standards seem rather nice. We think to ourselves this sure is a nice path. But Jesus says he is the way, the truth and the life. Jesus is the only path that leads to anything of eternal value. Everything else is just temporary. All other paths will eventually lead to death. So how do we get on the Jesus path?
In Hebrews 11 it writes out examples of acts of faith from the beginning of time. It displays many people throughout history that choose the path given to them by God rather than the path most people would say was correct or most people were taking. These people took an alternative path not because they wanted to be different or because they though that path was easier or because of what they would gain in this life. No these individuals took the path God had told them to take thus acting on faith. So how do we take the Jesus path? We have to act on faith. We have to stop taking all the other paths and do what God wants us to do. The only way to jump from the path you are on to Jesus way is through faith. If you do not know what this is then ask in prayer. Ask God to reveal to you the acts of faith he is asking of you in this time. Then do it. Amen.
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope forand assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” Hebrews 11:1-3
